Abhilasha Memorial Institute for Forest & Environment Management (AMIFEM) was established in the year 1994 with a view to promote activities on protection of environment and forests for sustainable development and management of bio-resources. The Institute is, therefore, committed to conducting innovative programmes, which would, directly or indirectly, help in preservation and protection of forests and environment by promoting efforts for conservation and addressing environmental pollution and degradation related issues. The various activities of the Institute include creation of awareness by conducting seminars/ workshops, publication of books, imparting teaching through short courses and carrying out research for development of low cost technology for bio-resources utilization for improvement of rural economy.
